چکیده
Current research aimed at studying the effect of benzothiazole (BTH) on fruit quality and resistance against Penicillium italicum (P. italicum). Recently, a synthetically prepared novel BTH was introduced that elicits induction various diseases fruits. However, little reported disease postharvest navel orange fruit. In this study, 50 mg·L−1 significantly reduced decay rate fruits during 36 days storage 20 ± 0.5°C ( P < 0.05 ). markedly inhibited weight loss in id="M2"> ) effectively maintained higher soluble solid content (SSC), titratable acid (TA), vitamin C (VC) compared with control Further, suppressed increase incidence lesion area challenged P. id="M3"> treatment enhanced antioxidant capacity (DPPH, ABTS radical scavenging activity, reducing power), superoxide dismutase (SOD) peroxidase (POD) activities were increased, while activity catalase (CAT) opposite to former id="M4"> The β-1,3-glucanase (GLU), phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), chalcone isomerase (CHT) BTH-treated id="M5"> Our results suggested may be promising for maintaining inhibiting blue mold future.

Seasonal changes in nutrient concentrations of navel orange fruit
Concentrations of the macronutrients (K, Ca, Mg, Na, P and S) and micronutrients (Fe, B, Zn, Mn and Cu) in whole fruit, pulp, rind and albedo of fruit from young and mature 'Bellamy' navel orange trees were measured at fortnightly intervals during fruit development. The general order of abundance of the macronutrients were K > Ca > Mg P > S > Na and the abundance of the micronutrients followe...
متن کاملQuality changes in sapote mamey fruit during ripening and storage
Physical and chemical changes in sapote mamey (Pouteria sapota (Jacq.) H.E. Moore and Stearn) fruit during ripening and storage at various temperatures were evaluated. Ripening was associated with flesh softening, an increase in soluble solids content (SSC), and a change in flesh color from yellow or pale pink to a dark pink or red. No changes in fruit skin color or in flesh acidity were observ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Hot Water Treatments on Gray Mold and Physicochemical Quality of Kiwi fruit During Storage
Decline in postharvest losses of kiwifruit depended to maintain of quality characteristics during storage and transportation. Storage losses caused serious economic losses in kiwifruit. This study was conducted to inhibition of pathogen infection and increasing fruit quality of Kiwifruit. Hayward kiwifruits inoculated by B.cinerea conidia through pore wounds which formed by removal of the pedic...
متن کاملEffect of postharvest oxalic acid treatment on ethylene production, quality parameters, and antioxidant potential of peach fruit during cold storage.
The effects of postharvest oxalic acid (OA) treatment on ethylene production, fruit quality, bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity of peach fruit, were examined. Fruits were treated with oxalic acid immediately after harvest and stored at 1° C and 90% relative humidity for 28 days. The oxalic acid treated peach fruit exhibited significantly lower levels of ethylene production, pH, total ...
متن کاملeffect of harvest time and storage on moro blood orange fruit quality (citrus sinensis cv. moro)
the different factors such as harvest time, product handling, temperature and storage duration can be influenced on the different properties of citrus fruits and has considerable economic consequences. therefore a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with 3 replications was performed to evaluate the effects of harvest times (start of color change, 50% of color change and f...
